Description
A mechanical ant from a steampunk workshop. The head carries riveted plates and round eyes like portholes, the thorax is made of gear wheels and small fittings, and the abdomen is a coiled spring ending in a polished capsule.
Six long, jointed legs hold the body high, so the ant stands well on a rock, a desk or a shelf. It is made by hand from stainless steel; one photo shows it held in two hands.
Engineers, mechanics and steampunk fans will enjoy studying every little part. It joins our steampunk wasp and bee; all are in the animal sculpture collection.
Dimensions: On request
Material: stainless steel, no paint – fully weatherproof, so it can stay outdoors all year round.
