Shipping and lead time

Production usually takes 30 to 60 days and occasionally longer: the exact lead time depends on the type and size of the piece and on our workshop schedule at the time of your order. If you need the sculpture by a certain date, ask us before you order and we will confirm the lead time for this piece. Some pieces are in stock and ready to ship. Import duties and taxes in your country are paid by the buyer.

Description

A crab stands high on eight jointed legs with both claws raised. The domed shell, the claws and every leg segment carry heat tints that shift from copper to violet and blue, depending on the light and the angle.

The crab is made by hand from stainless steel and is not painted: all the colours come from heating the metal. Each leg is built from separate tubes joined at the knees, which gives the piece its spidery, lifelike stance. It is the Cancer sign in our zodiac series and pairs well with the Scorpion, which is tinted the same way.

Place it on a rockery, by a pond or on a terrace. You will find more metal animal sculptures in the animal collection.
