Shipping and lead time

Shipping for this piece is quoted individually. After you order, we email you the shipping cost and delivery time before anything ships.

Most of our sculptures are made to order. Production usually takes 30 to 60 days and occasionally longer: the exact lead time depends on the type and size of the piece and on our workshop schedule at the time of your order. If you need the sculpture by a certain date, ask us before you order and we will confirm the lead time for this piece. Some pieces are in stock and ready to ship. Import duties and taxes in your country are paid by the buyer.

Some pieces have sharp edges, points or thin parts, so handle them with care, and stand large or heavy sculptures on a stable, level base; outdoor pieces may need anchoring. Description

The dragon turtle of Eastern legend, a symbol of long life and protection. A roaring dragon head with horns and bulging eyes rises from a heavy turtle shell, and the strong legs are covered with overlapping scales and armoured plates ending in sharp claws.

The shell is worked with a pattern of plates and a raised flowing motif on top. The whole sculpture is forged by hand from stainless steel and toned to deep bronze and copper by heat, without paint.

In feng shui the dragon turtle is placed at the back of a home or office for support and stability; in a garden it looks great among stones. More legendary creatures are among our forged dragon sculptures, and a gentler turtle is the forged sea turtle.
